My name is Bridget Harrigan Wood. I’ve been a speech therapist for 24 years and I have also followed my passion for literacy and have become a reading specialist as well. I provide speech, language, and multi-sensory reading services (ORTON-GILLINGHAM MULTI_SESNSORY APPROACH) to children ages 3-18 with a wide variety of reading, language and overall communication deficits via in person and teletherapy at homes, schools, and daycare settings. Specializing in supervision, language learning disabilities, dyslexia, reading comprehension, writing deficits, apraxia, executive functioning, social language and pragmatics, delayed receptive and expressive language deficits, and speech sound disorders.
About Me:
I live in Chicago, IL with my husband Justin, daughter Ava (8), and goofy golden retriever Lovey (4). In my spare time you will find me spending time with my family, playing tennis and pickleball, reading or listening to some podcasts (current favorite podcasts include Diary of a CEO, and The School of Greatness) and I’m also a photographer.
